In 2022, Hansen’s Urban Planning team secured town planning approval for Fieldwork Coffee’s new roastery and hospitality space in Fitzroy North, Melbourne. Having previously collaborated on Fieldwork Coffee’s Abbotsford branch, we provided development advisory support for this new location.

The project is situated in a heritage-rich area, with the repurposed North Fitzroy warehouse maintaining key original elements, including the distinctive sawtooth roof. Opening in March 2024, the space now serves as a café where beans are ethically sourced and roasted on-site.
