Victoria Gardens in Richmond, Melbourne, is set for a significant expansion, transforming the precinct into a vibrant destination and mixed-use neighbourhood. Hansen’s Urban Design team, alongside Planning & Property Partners, provided urban design evidence in support of the Comprehensive Development Plan, facilitating the expansion of Victoria Gardens and the mixed-use redevelopment application for the ‘Doonside Precinct.’

The development was reviewed under the Victorian Government’s Development Facilitation Program and referred by the Planning Minister to the Priority Projects Standing Advisory Committee, including the 96A amendment and application for approval. Recently, Amendment C307 to the Yarra Planning Scheme was gazetted to facilitate the precinct’s expansion.
