In collaboration with the City of Greater Dandenong, Hansen’s Landscape Architecture team prepared a concept plan for the revitalisation of Railway Parade in Noble Park, Melbourne, incorporating feedback from the community and key stakeholders. From concept creation, to detailed design and tender documentation, our goal was to inject new life into the streetscape, especially around the main shopping area. The design includes new canopy tree planting within ‘structural soil tree pits’ to enhance shade and amenity without impacting the provision of parking spaces.

The comprehensive approach aims to improve the overall streetscape, focusing on improvements to the main shopping centre area on the northern side of Railway Parade, including the relocation of the existing bus shelter. It has uplifted the local community, supported businesses, boosted the economy, and created a vibrant, inviting environment. It is rewarding to witness the community enjoying and benefiting from the transformed and enhanced public space. The project, which commenced its stage one works in March 2023, has been successfully delivered, with construction now complete.
