Rainey joined Hansen Partnership in 2022 after earning a Bachelor of Urban and Environmental Planning from Griffith University on the Gold Coast. As a Strategic Planner, she is passionate about integrated water management, climate adaptation, and coastal resilience. Rainey leverages these interests to deliver projects that promote positive environmental outcomes and sustainable urban growth.
Previously working in the Development Advisory team, Rainey has contributed to a diverse range of projects across Melbourne, including planning scheme amendments, policy reviews, and the development of both residential and non-residential sites. Her commitment to thoughtful, forward-thinking planning ensures that each project balances environmental, social, and economic considerations.
Rainey’s expertise in strategic planning, combined with her focus on resilience and sustainability, makes her a valuable asset in shaping Melbourne’s future urban landscape.
Constanza is a Registered Landscape Architect with over a ten years of experience in a range of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture projects, practicing her multi-disciplinary backgrounds in architecture, art, landscape architecture, and urban design. Her experience spans both public and private sector projects, having worked locally and internationally in diverse scales and contexts.
Her design approach responds to elements from the natural environment, local ecologies and cultures, informed by research, collaboration and observation. Currently Constanza is undertaking doctoral studies at the University of Melbourne, focusing on cultural landscapes, participatory design by exploring creative methods. In doing this, she is bringing together design, research, and her own creative practice.
Constanza has expanded her design knowledge by participating in academic programs, international workshops and conferences in various countries including Chile, Barcelona, Aotearoa/ New Zealand, Singapore, Oslo, and Naarm/ Melbourne. This has framed a cross-cultural perspective, which has been developed through studying, teaching and working.
At Hansen, Constanza has contributed to a variety of urban design and landscape architecture projects, such as the award-wining ‘Streets for People Feasibility Study’ and ‘Sapa & Surrounds Sustainable Urban & Infrastructure Development Project’, as well as many others including streetscape upgrades, framework plans, concept and schematic designs, master plans, 3D modelling, design guidelines, and artist impressions. Her work contributes that each project is creative and contextually responsive.
Yongqing (Sunny) is a Senior Landscape Architect at Hansen, known for her creative and ecological approach to design. Since joining the team in 2021 after completing her Master of Landscape Architecture at RMIT University, she has focused on enhancing environmental quality through sustainable and innovative solutions.
Sunny’s academic background includes specialized study in climate change, landscape restoration, and rehabilitation design, equipping her with the skills to address complex environmental challenges. Her experience extends internationally, having worked on residential and landscape projects in China, which adds a global perspective to her work.
At Hansen, Sunny is involved in a variety of projects across Melbourne, contributing to site analysis, CAD drafting, hand drawing, and design documentation. Her collaborative nature and passion for ecological design make her an integral part of the Landscape Architecture team. Inspired by her global travels and love for the outdoors, Sunny is committed to creating landscapes that connect people with nature while supporting sustainability and resilience in urban environments.
