Sophie joined Hansen Partnership after completing a Master of Urban Planning and Environment at RMIT in 2017.
With more than seven years international experience as a marketing communications manager and event planner in the hospitality, tourism and training sectors, Sophie made a transition into planning after seeking opportunities to make a meaningful contribution to society.
Sophie combines her strong business nous with a passion for urban planning and sustainability and is currently working with clients committed to delivering housing models that challenge the ‘business as usual’ approach.
With over 15 years of experience as a Landscape Architect in both the private and public sectors, Joanna has worked on diverse landscape architecture projects across three countries. Her global experience brings a unique perspective to every project, blending sustainable and environmentally conscious design principles with a passion for creating functional and aesthetically pleasing spaces.
Joanna’s portfolio spans a wide range of projects throughout Melbourne, including large-scale public parks, residential estates, urban renewal initiatives, and commercial developments. She has a deep understanding of the entire design process, from concept to completion, and ensures every project is delivered with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Collaborating with developers, contractors, local authorities, and community stakeholders, Joanna excels at aligning project goals with client expectations.
