Open House Melbourne: A Tour Through Trades Hall’s Past and Future

Only a few days left until the Open House Melbourne weekend, and we’re excited to announce the third tour we’ll be a part of.

Join Hansen Partnership Senior Associate Urban Designer James Kelly, alongside Stewart Hanafin from Lovell Chen and Antony Moore from Victorian Trades Hall, for a special one-hour tour exploring the rich history, heritage and ongoing evolution of the Trades Hall precinct.

As the world’s oldest continuously active trade union building, the Trades Hall & Literary Institute has played a defining role in Melbourne’s history since 1859. Together, the speakers will explore how thoughtful planning, urban design and heritage policy can help ensure significant places like this continue to evolve while retaining the qualities that make them unique.
