The first runway at Long Thanh International Airport is now powered up – three months ahead of schedule. It’s a milestone that marks real progress on a project we helped shape nearly 20 years ago.

Back in 2007, Hansen’s Urban Design and Strategic Planning teams worked in collaboration with VIAP (Vietnam Institute for Architecture, Urban and Rural Planning) on preparation of the ‘Long Thanh Aerotropolis Master Plan’ – guiding development of around 21,000 hectares around the Airport designated to become “Vietnam’s global gateway”.
