At Hansen, working on residential properties is especially rewarding as we get to be a part of planning a home for our clients. It was exciting to hear that the West Bend House by MRTN Architects was awarded the Architeam Awards 2022 for Residential New, over $1 mil. You can read the Judge’s citation here

This beautiful home enjoys a terrific location, made more stunning through space planning, careful choice of materials and consideration of the landscape. Located towards the banks of the Merri Creek, this property had a local heritage overlay control and residential zoning that placed an emphasis on neighbourhood character integration. Hansen’s approach and planning strategy sought to highlight contemporary interpretation of residential character elements to support the vision expressed by MRTN architects.
