Hoa Binh Lake Tourism Management Masterplan

With the beautiful landscape, mountains and forests in the colourful cultural space, Hoa Binh Lake has become a popular tourist destination, attracting many domestic and foreign tourists to Hoa Binh.

Hansen Partnership’s Strategic Planning team were engaged to develop the Hoa Binh Lake national tourism area Masterplan to 2030, with the aim to preserve, embellish and promote cultural, natural landscape values, environmental preservation and respond to climate change. The masterplan will include land use planning, technical infrastructure, connections.

Hoa Binh lake was built after the construction of Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant, which is the biggest lake in Vietnam with a length of over 100 km, with are 47 large and small islands.

With tourism forecasted to reach over 1.5 million visitors by 2030, the masterplan will orient the land use planning for the whole tourist area to ensure economic development and tourism in a harmonious and sustainable manner.
