Open House Summer Fun(draiser): An Anstey Village Walk
And that’s a wrap. Seven stops, a few flights of stairs, many laneways, colonnades, communal areas, shared insights, 25 people, and one dog (Honey).
The walk through Anstey Village offered a closer look at Nightingale Anstey, Wurru Wurru Biik, Nightingale 1, Wilam Ganga, Bulleke-bek Park and the broader Nightingale Village, including a rare opportunity to step inside an apartment at Wurru Wurru Biik and access the rooftop and other communal spaces.
A great time spent exploring the planning behind the precinct, how sustainability works in practice and the lived experiences of the community within an urban renewal context.
Thank you to Open House Melbourne for adding us to the Summer Fun(Draiser) program and to Nightingale Housing for collaborating with us on the tour.
