Amendment C376 Gains Unanimous Support from Future Melbourne Committee

Amendment C376, which introduces new sustainability requirements for buildings in the City of Melbourne, has taken a big step forward, receiving unanimous support from the Future Melbourne Committee last week. The amendment lifts the bar on requirements to improve energy efficiency, integrate green infrastructure, and improve the sustainability of waste and transport of buildings across the municipality.

Hansen Partnership was engaged to help shape the amendment – developing the standards, ensuring they were fit-for-purpose, advising on the tools, and preparing the strategic justification. This work was reflected throughout the Panel’s endorsement.

We love supporting our clients to leverage the planning system to deliver more climate-responsive outcomes and are so pleased for all those who have played a role in this amendment to see this work continue to progress.
