Peter Scullin Reserve, Mordialloc

Nestled between Mordialloc beach, the boat-filled creek and paths leading to the historic Mordialloc pier, lies the home of the annual Mordi Fest, Peter Scullin Reserve.

Hansen as the Landscape Architects in collaboration with K20 Architecture sought to revive the public amenities block within the reserve.

The toilet block is now situated amongst an entirely native and indigenous plant palette specifically designed to thrive in the coastal dune scrubland. The design of the landscape was driven by an environmentally responsible approach to form and function, with a focus on maintaining open sightlines, drought tolerance and low maintenance.

We cannot wait to see the coastal vegetation begin to grow and thrive over time.
